Septic System Inspection
By state and county law, homeowners are required to have routine inspections of their septic systems. We provide Clallam County Certified Septic System Inspections. You can count on your inspector to be thorough, professional and courteous. We welcome and encourage the homeowner to be present and observe the inspection process at time of service and will be happy to answer any questions that you have as we demonstrate our process.

Do you have a Distribution Box?
If the answer is yes, then that should have a riser! We often see that the distribution box has settled and needs maintenance or it has been invaded by roots that must be removed. It could be cracked or weakened by gases or age. Having a riser on this component provides easy access for regular maintenance and inspection and will therefore reduce your costs because it will eliminate the need to dig for inspection. (A "D-box" must be inspected as a part of a certified inspection.)
Tank Maintenance
In the same manner that a properly maintained vehicle will last longer and operate more efficiently, your septic system should be regularly maintained as well. It is a valuable investment to maintain your system then it is to wait until you have a bigger problem. We recommend if you have a Gravity/Conventional septic system that your filter be serviced annually. If you are experiencing gurgling in your toilets, sink or near your septic tank lids your filter may be clogged and require a tank maintenance.
Alarms
Are you hearing an alarm and have a red light on your septic panel? Alarms are an indication of high water levels. This could be caused from leaks in your toilet, unsealed risers or other causes. Unsealed risers can allow groundwater to leak into your tank, raising the water level and alarm to sound. Please call us to determine type of alarm and if immediate service is needed. We may ask for panel brand, shape of the alarm light and when the alarm was first indicated. Here is an example of your typical panel types.
